Building an ecommerce site has become remarkably trivial over the last five years. The proliference of open source shopping carts and turn-key merchant processing means that retailer can now run a powerful retail Website. This combination is intoxicating as smaller merchants have rushed to compete with Internet Goliths like Amazon. The idea of a 24 hour sales machine can make the average small business owner salivate.

Had a great time at Drupal Camp Atlanta 2012. There were just too many great sessions to attend and it was challenging to narrow down. After check-in, I settled in to the keynote from Josh Clark of Global Moxie, who you might recognize as the creator of Big Medium. I did at least, and he was nice enough to trade hellos afterwards. Today we're talking about the hottest topic in Web Design today, Responsive Design.
The goal was to make a layout that was clean and accessible. The fonts were chosen for their clean lines, legibility, and interest. It highlights our key services with an image slider, and has a focus on social, with our social media links visible in the header, and Facebook Face Pile on the sidebar, as well as a Twitter stream.
I have been working on a new site based on Drupal 7 and Omega Theme (if you are a developer and don't know about Drupal, you are missing out BIG TIME). The cool thing about Omega theme is that it's a responsive theme, meaning it allows your site to morph to fit different screen sizes using a new feature known as media queries.
Websites vary in price as greatly as new cars. As a general rule-of-thumb, think about the kind of car you see your business as, and divide the starting price by 10.
